FIGHTING FOR

OUR PEOPLE

Sandonne Goad has a proven track record of fighting for our people, and being victorious in the battles that protect our legacy. Now, when we are so close to accomplishing our long-term goals, we need to unite together behind our shared vision.

A LEADER FOR ALL OF US

As Chairwoman of the Gabrielino/Tongva Nation, Sandonne is putting our people first.

Fighting for Federal Recognition

Championing Healthcare For All

Creating An Economy That Works For Everyone

Uniting Our People Behind Our Shared Vision

Elected by our people to serve as Chair of the Tribal Council,

Sandonne has worked tirelessly for our people. Under her leadership, our people are more united and much closer than ever before to achieving Federal recognition.

Today, our people can take pride in the work we have done together – establishing the Annual Fishing Day, hosting Cultural Classes and Programs that ensure our people’s history is remembered, and created the non-profit needed to secure Federal recognition.

No one has worked harder or been more victorious than Sandonne in securing a lasting legacy for our nation.

Meet Sandonne

Sandonne Goad has a proven track record of fighting for our people, and being victorious in the battles for the legacy of our people.

Now, when we are so close to accomplishing our goals, it is when we need to stand together and unite behind the shared vision for our people.

As Chairperson of the first Citizenship Board, Sandonne united our people together to lay the foundation for our great cause:

Established the application and the application requirements for recognition

Created the process and procedures of the Board

Witnessed our citizenry grow from 115 in 2009 to 938 in 2025.

Elected by our people to the Tribal Council in 2009 and soon after as Secretary of the Nation, Sandonne has always put our cause first. In 2012, Sandonne was honored by our people who elected her Chairwoman. She fought for unity, and was victorious in establishing the Annual Fishing Day, holding the Logo Contest, and hosted the first Citizen Swearing in Ceremony where our Nation’s Flag was flown proudly for the very first time. As we worked together, our successes grew. In 2014, the non-profit was established, and Sandonne held and taught the necessary Cultural Classes to ensure our history was remembered.

And when those who opposed our progress attempted to fight us in the courts, Sandonne kept us united and worked with our lawyers to ensure we were victorious. Then our opponents went after Sandonne with personal lawsuits too, but the results favored our people again and again.

She Fights For Our Legacy. For today and tomorrow.

Sandonne has made her intentions clear from the very beginning. She fights for Federal Recognition. Today, we are so close to accomplishing this plan, and that is because we have remained focused and united. Now is not the time for untested and unproven leaders. We need leaders who have walked with us, and know the pathway forward. Sandonne brings the continuity and proven leadership we need. Sandonne has brought us partners, financial investors, a team working with us to achieve Federal Recognition and victories at every battle necessary. We have stood with Sandonne Goad because she fights for us. Now it’s our time to vote for her once again. Our vote is our voice. Let’s finish the job.
